Genki Media incubated business ArtJamz has launched its innovative new ArtJamz ArtBox along with Live Virtual Paint Classes.

ArtJamz began in 2010 as a pop-up paint party where guests unleashed their inner artists by painting on canvas, listening to music, socializing and creatively jamming. Our concept quickly caught on! By 2012 we incorporated with a mission to make the world a more creative place. We moved into a retail location in the historic Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington DC to offer live painting classes and sales of retail arts supplies, wine and beer. From 2012 to March 2020, we operated as many as 3 brick and mortar locations in DC and Virginia and purchased a cargo van for mobile live events. During that period, we hosted nearly 100,000 customers. Our business generates revenue via public online reservations and private events and group bookings. Our concept is a popular team-building activity for corporations, non-profit and institutional customers. Unfortunately, like so many SMBs, we were forced to close our retail business operations in March 2020 due to COVID19. Revenue dried up overnight but we didn’t give up. We pivoted, and by April, we were offering virtual live painting courses and at-home paint kits for our customers who were now clamoring to stay busy while being confined to home during the pandemic. We invented an innovative 12”x12”x2” ArtBox with a converted easel insert that was easy to ship.
