WASHINGTON LIFE MAGAZINE

The Metro area’s leading lifestyle publication Washington Life Magazine covered the launch of ArtJamz. Writer Katherine Delmonico wrote, “I cannot remember the last time I simply lost myself in something, without worrying what time it was, wondering if there was something else I should be doing, or going over notes for an upcoming meeting in my head. I found this event to be so therapeutic. It felt like a moment of quasi-meditation, without having to listen to my roommate bitch about her boss or who said what about what other person on the softball team. It was amazingly relaxing, and genuinely just fun.”

They came in couples or small groups and commented on how the atmosphere was perfect for relaxing and spending time together while also making new friends.”

GEORGETOWN DISH

If you’ve never read writer Emily Miller’s work, then you are in for a treat. Miller captured ArtJamz wonderfully in her conversational and sharp as a tack writing style in this article for The Georgetown Dish. She writes in article, “‘Really, Michael, this has been the most fun night of the summer,” I told him while he wiped down the brushes, smiling. This is just so much better than being in crowded parties in passing, making small talk and feeling empty at the end of the night.”’

ArtJamz made Naked Thanks! Writers Karin Tanabe and Stacey Pharr has set out to write a thank you note for each day for a full year … naked. We were honored to make one of those days .. in our clothes. We were even knighted via paint brush. Karin writes, “Michael’s idea is a sure fire hit, considering it’s fun as hell, held in a major museum, and has free flowing booze. I thought Kelly might actually burst when she started furiously painting a green bush of her homeland, Maine.”
